Kaaren Beckhof arbeitet als Kunstvermittlerin und Künstlerin in den Bereichen Aktion/ Video. Sie studierte Theater- und Religionswissenschaft (FU), sowie Theaterpädagogik (HdK) und erhielt 1999 an der San Francisco State University/ USA den Master-of-Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts. Ein Lehrauftrag am Ex’pression College for New Media/ Emmeryville, USA folgte.

Auszeichnungen erhielten u.a. ihre Theatrale Mediencollage “Froschknicks”, die Videoperformance „Boxed“ am Artists Television Access in San Fransisco/ USA und ihre Forschungsarbeit „Video on Stage.“

Seit der Rückkehr nach Berlin im Jahre 1999, arbeitet sie gleichermaßen mit KünstlerInnen aus den Bereichen Darstellende und Bildende Kunst, sozialen Institutionen und nimmt Lehr- und Kunstvermittlungsaufträge wahr.

Referenzen (Auswahl) sind die Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst Berlin, Berlinische Galerie, Transmediale, Museum für Film und Fernsehen Berlin, Martin Gropius Bau.

Ihr Interesse konzentriert sich auf Projekte, die ihren Ausgang in konkreten Handlungs- oder Bewegungsmodi nehmen und introspektiv vertieft wie auch transdisziplinär untersucht und/oder auf die Schwelle zwischen privater und öffentlicher Praxis getragen werden.

    Do you know Modesto Tamez who The last seven years has been working with the Exloratorium in San Francisco and San Francisco State University, 0r Santhi Kavuri-Bauer in SFSU too ?

    We KASF (Knot/Kolam/Katachi Arts and Science Froum) held an exhibition of Kolam drawing by Tamil women in the last Fujisawa international Festival. and has done in others
